Synopsis

In the form of a private diary, Lady Carillon Carrock recounts her family's forced exile from Jamaillia — alongside other disgraced nobles and prisoners — to the Rain Wilds. Marooned on the Cursed Shores, the settlers must survive a hostile land, and discover the remains of a mysterious Elderling city buried beneath the jungle.

Originally published in the anthology Legends II (2003), Homecoming is a distant prelude to the Liveship Traders and the Rain Wild Chronicles.
