Fitz's adopted son, aspiring minstrel
A mismatched-eyed orphan, Hap is taken in as a child by Fitz, who raises him far from court in the company of the wolf Nighteyes. An affectionate, hardworking boy, he grows up in simplicity before leaving for Buckkeep, drawn by music and the dream of becoming a minstrel. His coming of age, his loves, and his debts will test the bond with his foster father.
