Synopsis
During Fitz's absence, Withywoods has been ransacked. Bee has been kidnapped by the Servants of Clerres. Convinced she is dead, Fitz leaves with the Fool on an expedition of vengeance — destination: the cursed island of the White Prophets.
First volume of Fool's Quest, this book marks the return to the character's roots: Fitz becomes again the weapon he had sworn never to be. His quest for vengeance leads him through the entire Realm of the Elderlings, crossing the paths of the protagonists of the previous cycles. Hobb gradually assembles the threads of her epic for the denouement.
