Synopsis
An expedition is raised toward Clerres. Aboard, Fitz, the Fool, Lant, Per, Spark, and Lord Golden. The crossing passes through Bingtown, unexpected reunion with Althea Vestrit. And destiny falls into place — a destiny that neither of the two heroes really chose.
First volume of Robin Hobb's last novel in the Realm of the Elderlings. Sur les Rives de l'Art finally brings together all the protagonists of the five cycles: the Vestrits, Tintaglia, Reyn and Malta, Fitz's old companions. The crossing toward Clerres becomes the symbolic pilgrimage of a saga closing. Hobb makes her worlds commune.
The shores of the Skill are peopled with all those we have lost.
