Biography

A blunt-spoken wandering minstrel, Starling crosses paths with Fitz on the road to the Mountains and soon guesses his true identity. Hungry for glory, she sees in his journey the makings of an immortal ballad and chooses to follow him. Later minstrel to Queen Kettricken, she remains a clear-eyed, ambiguous witness to the decisive hours of the Six Duchies.
