Carved from wizardwood, Vivacia is a liveship gifted with consciousness, bound to the Vestrit line for generations. Upon her quickening, she communes with her captain and feels every emotion that crosses her decks. Sensitive and endearing, she becomes a character in her own right, prey to sufferings no human crew could ever know.
